Part G Water Efficiency Calculations

On the 6th April 2010 Part G of the Building Regulations required all new homes and converted properties to meet new water efficiency targets.

A maximum water useage figure of 125 litres per person per day must be achieved, and a Part G water efficiency calculation completed and submitted to the relevant Building Control Authority at design and as built stages.

As of 1st October 2010, failure to comply with the target water use figure will adversly affect the SAP rating of a newly created dwelling.

How we can help

We are here to remove the stress and confusion by completing the relevant calculations for submission to your Building Control Authority.

As the calculations are a desktop exercise with no requirement to visit site, we can provide our service to clients across the whole of England & Wales with minimal inconvenience.

By using dedicated Part G water efficiency calculation software to demonstrate compliance, not only can we provide all the necessary documentation for your Building Control organisation, we are also able to provide suitable recommendations to achieve the target water consumption even if the property is completed.

What we Provide

We provide our clients with either an electronic or paper report including;

An "As Designed" calculation and report showing compliance with Section 17K of the current Building Regulations, and Section G2 of Approved Document G 2010;

A checklist for the builder to complete as products are installed;

Recommendations (if required) to meet the required consumption in litres per person per day;

An "As Built" calculation upon completion of the build, and a Notice of Water Efficiency for presentation to the Building Control Authority.

Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss any requirements you may have with your existing, and future projects.
